What inspired you to start a Low Insulin Lifestyle?
I wanted to understand my body better. After years of struggling with my weight, irregular cycles, and other PCOS symptoms, I was ready to try something different.
What symptoms or challenges were you experiencing before starting?
Uncontrollable weight gain, inconsistent menstrual cycles, fatigue, and mood swings. No matter how hard I tried, nothing seemed to work.
What was your initial experience like during the first few days or weeks of starting the Low Insulin Lifestyle?
Initially, I was hungry more often and had cravings, but I stuck with it. Within a few days, I noticed my hunger was different—it wasn’t the intense, uncontrollable hunger I used to feel.
When did you start to notice changes in how you felt or improvements in your symptoms?
Within the first week, I noticed weight loss that I hadn’t seen in years. My energy started improving, and my mood felt more stable.
Did you face any challenges while starting or maintaining the Low Insulin Lifestyle? If so, what were they and how did you overcome them?
I did face challenges from shifting my dietary habits, but I reminded myself why I started. I also made sure to plan my meals so I wouldn’t feel tempted to fall back into old habits.
What results or successes have you achieved since starting the Low Insulin Lifestyle?
I started the Low Insulin Lifestyle in December 2024, and in just a few weeks, I lost weight, felt more energized, and started seeing improvements in my cycle. It was incredible how quickly my body responded when I gave it what it needed. I have lost a total of 37lbs.
Are there any specific milestones or achievements you’re most proud of?
Reaching a healthy weight and regaining regular menstrual cycles. Those were my biggest goals, and I’m so happy I was able to achieve them. When I started a Low Insulin Lifestyle I was having periods every 4-6 months, then every 45-50 days, then every 32 days! I am now pregnant with my first baby!!
What tips or advice would you give to someone who is just starting the Low Insulin Lifestyle?
It can be overwhelming since most of the information out there doesn’t focus on insulin, but just take it one step at a time. Be patient with yourself and trust the process.
