Our Science

Real Research.
Real Results.

At Lilli Health, our approach isn’t based on trends, it’s built on science. A Low Insulin Lifestyle is backed by over a decade of clinical research, showing how targeted lifestyle changes can lower insulin levels, improve metabolic health, and transform lives. On this page, you’ll find real-world outcomes from our patients, an overview of our clinical studies, and links to published research. From weight loss and improved insulin sensitivity to hormonal balance and fertility breakthroughs, the science speaks for itself.

Weight Loss

Our PILOT study showed an average loss of 19 lbs in 8 weeks. Below that, an independently conducted RCT compared standard PCOS recommendations to a Low Insulin Lifestyle delivered either in-person or virtually. This tested the scalability of our approach—even during the COVID-19 pandemic when weight gain was common.

Insulin Reduction

This image shows fasting insulin, 2-hour insulin from an oral glucose tolerance test, and HOMA-IR scores before and after following a Low Insulin Lifestyle. Across our pilot and metabolic studies, insulin dropped by over 50%, with dramatic improvements in insulin sensitivity in just 8 weeks.

Insulin Results

A1c Improvement

While participants began with normal A1c values (5.5%), we still saw a significant improvement to 5.2% in just 8 weeks. Since A1c reflects a 3-month average of blood sugar levels, seeing this much of a drop in less than 2 months is an incredibly strong result and highlights how powerful this approach can be.

A1c Improvement

Testosterone

Free testosterone dropped by 23% in our studies—more than what you would typically see with medications like spironolactone—while patients also experienced improvements in acne and excess hair growth.

Testosterone Reduction

Symptom Relief

Patients reported major improvements in energy, bloating, acne, cycle regularity, and other PCOS-related symptoms. These were measured using the validated PCOS Quality of Life (PCOS-QOL) Questionnaire. We also saw a notable drop in binge eating behavior.

Fertility

In a case series, women previously diagnosed as infertile and obese conceived within an average of 86 days on a Low Insulin Lifestyle—without using fertility medication.
