Why Lilli?

It’s unfortunate that patients with PCOS often receive inadequate care, considering they make up close to 20% of reproductive-aged women. Despite the high prevalence of PCOS, healthcare providers receive minimal education on the role that nutrition plays in management of PCOS. Even Registered Dietitians have limited knowledge about PCOS. This knowledge gap can significantly impact the quality of care and support available to patients with PCOS.

Having personally experienced the frustrations of having PCOS and being overlooked by the medical community, I can empathize with the challenges that women living with PCOS face. It can be incredibly frustrating when your concerns are not taken seriously or when you struggle to find proper support and guidance. It took me 5 years to receive a proper diagnosis.

I completely understand your frustration with the outdated and repetitive advice on nutrition that simply doesn’t work, especially when it comes to managing PCOS. It can be disheartening when you try those recommendations and don’t see the desired results. I’ve personally experienced the same challenges, which is why I decided to become a Registered Dietitian and pursued advanced degrees in nutrition and reproductive endocrinology.

Ali Lilli Branding

Through my research on a low insulin lifestyle, as well as a postdoctoral research fellowship focused on nutrition and PCOS, I became passionate about becoming an expert in nutrition, insulin resistance, and PCOS. I was determined to find a better, more effective way of managing this condition.

There is an overwhelming amount of misinformation circulating through social media platforms. This is precisely why we launched Lilli Health. Our goal is to provide awareness and education to those who are struggling— whether it’s with weight loss, complexion issues, menstrual irregularities, excessive hair growth, or fertility challenges. We want to offer an evidence-based and trustworthy resource that can make a positive impact in the lives of women with PCOS.
